A gunman killed three and injured a dozen others near a Christmas market in Strasbourg, France on Tuesday evening before fleeing the scene. Police have identified the suspect as Cherif Chekatt, who was known to the intelligence services as a potential security risk.
The Motive for the attack is unknown.
The State Department had recently warned about a new onslaught of Christmas market attacks in Europe following new threats made in ISIS propaganda.
