Bergdahl Sentencing Should Be Quick and Firm

OpsLens Video

The guilty plea entered into by United States Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl should be met with a swift and firm sentencing. The fact that it has taken so long for Bergdahl to be tried and punished is a disgrace to the men and women who understand what it means to be a soldier and the utmost sign of disrespect to the six men who died searching for him, despite the fact that he deserted his unit willingly.

Those men’s deaths shall not be in vain and we shall never forget their names: Private First Class Matthew Martinek, Staff Sergeant Kurt Curtiss, Staff Sergeant Clayton Bowen, Private First Class Morris Walker, Staff Sergeant Michael Murphey, and Second Lieutenant Darryn Andrews.
