Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan praised US President-elect Donald Trump’s reaction to CNN’s Jim Acosta during a press conference, in which he refused to take a question from CNN reporter, calling him fake news.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke to a group of headmen in the Presidential Complex on Thursday, 12 January 2017, as he regularly does. Erdogan reminded the audience that Donald Trump, who organized the first press conference yesterday after being elected, did not allow CNN’s senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta to ask a question and saying “Look, a mistake done against Trump during his press conference and Trump put that group’s (CNN) reporter or columnist in place.”
To be precise, President Erdogan used “benzetmek” in Turkish which roughly means “beating someone badly” or “beating someone down.” Erdogan then moved to remind the audience CNN’s extensive live broadcast during Gezi protests in June 2013…
